News from Stonesfield neighbourhood watch

Deanna Asplundh, NHW Co-ordinator – Stonesfield, has sent details of the local neighbour watch watch scheme:

What does a Neighbourhood Watch scheme do?

Stonesfield Neighbourhood Watch is a scheme that welcomes all residents from the village to join. The scheme is there to increase awareness about what is happening around us and to also make sure we are looking out for each other, in particular the elderly and more vulnerable members of our community. It is important to get to know who your neighbours are.
By working together as a group, we can help to tackle local issues, including anti-social behaviour and criminal damage, which can help to reduce crime.

You and the scheme members could help:
• Promote home security and other measures to reduce crime
• Encourage members to report suspicious activity to the Police
• Support vulnerable people in the community and help them avoid becoming victims of crime
• Encourage neighbourliness and closer communities
It’s all part of improving our village and making Stonesfield a better place to live.

If you are interested in joining Stonesfield Neighbourhood Watch please email: giving your name, address and contact number. You will then receive an email inviting you to sign up to the scheme; you will then receive your membership pack.
