Give an Education for Christmas

From Deborah Ginns at Cecily’s fund:

Cecily's Fund, set up in memory of Cecily Eastwood from Stonesfield, has been selected for the Big Give Christmas Challenge this year. This gives the charity a unique opportunity to raise £2 for every £1 donated. The money goes to help educate Zambian children orphaned by AIDS.
Donations given through the Big Give website www.thebiggive.org.uk can attract matched funding allocated each day between 5 and 9 December. The funds are allocated from 10am, so the earlier donations are made the more likely to attract matched funding.
Can you help us ‘give an education for Christmas’? £10 will buy a school uniform, £13 a pair of shoes to walk to school, £30 provides a primary school education, shoes, books and uniform for a child for a year. Find out more visit www.cecilysfund.org. UK Charity no 1071660.

Carol singing in Stonesfield

“On a cold winter’s night that was so deep...” carollers raised over £50 for Christian Aid from Stonesfield residents by singing their hearts out (helped by a nip or two of mulled cider).... and rescuing the odd motorist stuck in the snow.
